We purchased Empire Cycle & Powersports in 2014, and we’ve been proud to serve Spokane riders ever since. You won’t find a friendlier or more knowledgeable crew than ours. We believe first and foremost in taking care of our customers and building relationships that last — our motto is simple: “Making it Right” for you.
Here whenever you need us — meet Empire AI
“Making it Right” doesn’t clock out at five, and it doesn’t only happen at the counter. So we did something you won’t find at many powersports shops: we taught a smart assistant everything in the official owner’s manuals for the machines we sell — and we call it Empire AI.
Out in the garage at 10 p.m., wondering how much oil your bike takes, what the tire pressure should be, or when the first service is due? Just ask — in plain English — and you’ll have the exact answer in seconds, right down to the page it came from. And our Ask Empire AI assistant is on every page to help you find the right machine or talk through whatever’s on your mind, day or night. It’s a bit like having one of our technicians and one of our salespeople on call whenever you need a hand — the same thing we’ve always tried to do, just there around the clock: make it easy, and make it right. Give Empire AI a try.
Who we are
We proudly represent Triumph, CFMOTO, Husqvarna, Arctic Cat and Rawrr. Our sales team is made up of hard-core riders who get out on the road and trail regularly, and we’re happy to help you find the perfect motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side or snowmobile. Our service department is staffed by some of the most experienced certified technicians anywhere — avid riders themselves — who treat your machine like their own. Prefer to wrench on it yourself? Our generously stocked parts and accessories department is run by people who ride too, so you get truly expert advice and the right parts the first time. On the rare chance we don’t have what you need on the shelf, we’ll get it fast.
Need gear to stay safe and look good out there? We stock a wide selection of riding gear, helmets and goggles from brands like Triumph, Husqvarna, Alpinestars, Fly Racing, Scorpion, LS2 and 100%.
For your convenience you can schedule service online, look up parts for your ride, or browse our online store any time. And if you’d like a hand choosing, just call or stop by our Spokane Valley showroom — we’re always happy to help. Thank you for supporting our business.
Why We Built This Website
Buying a motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side, or snowmobile should be one of the best parts of the sport. Too often, it isn’t. You find a price online, you get excited, and then at the counter it quietly grows by a thousand dollars in freight, setup, and fees nobody mentioned. You try to compare two machines and end up with ten browser tabs and no clear answer. You leave wondering whether the “deal” was ever really a deal. We’ve spent a long time on the other side of that counter, and we didn’t like it either. So we built this website to fix it.
The price is the price
The biggest change is also the simplest: Up Front Pricing. The number you see on a unit already includes freight, setup, and our documentation fee. The only things added after that are sales tax and title and registration — the same charges you’d pay buying anywhere, from anyone. No surprise add-ons. No “let me go talk to my manager.” No math you’re stuck doing in the parking lot. When we say the price is the price, we mean it — and we built the entire site around making that promise visible on every single unit, not buried in the fine print.
Honest answers, not a hard sell
We also wanted the site to genuinely help you decide — even when that means steering you toward something we don’t sell. That’s why we wrote our buying guides in plain language: what size bike a new rider should actually start on, whether an ATV or a side-by-side fits your life, how financing really works, what to look for in a first snowmobile.
And it’s why we built Up Front Research. For every new model we stock, we put together an honest, sourced comparison against its real competitors — specs, horsepower, price, what’s standard — and we tell you flat out where the other guys win. If a rival makes more power, costs less, or carries a longer warranty, we say so, right there in the comparison. A comparison that only ever wins isn’t worth reading. Ours are built to be trusted, not just to close a sale. It’s the same idea as our pricing, applied to your decision: Up Front Pricing means no hidden fees, and Up Front Research means no hidden bias.
Built for how we ride out here
This isn’t a generic template with our name dropped on top. We ride the same country you do — the forest-service roads of the Idaho panhandle, the trails off Riverside, the deep snow in the Selkirks, the backroads out to Coeur d’Alene and across the Palouse. Our inventory, our guides, and our recommendations all reflect that. When we talk up a heated cab, a big fuel tank, or a mountain sled, it’s because those things matter here, in a place with real winters and a whole lot of public land to explore.
The little things that make it easier
We sweated the small stuff that makes shopping less of a chore. Inventory that updates, so what you see is what’s actually on the lot. A payment calculator on every unit, so you can size up a monthly payment before you ever fill out a form. Real photos and full specs, not stock images. Fast pages that load on your phone from the trailhead. And if you’d rather not pick up the phone, you can text us a quick question or book a test ride any time — our line is 509-498-3541. It’s the powersports-buying experience we always wished existed.
Come see for yourself
We built this site the way we try to run the shop: straight with you, no games, and genuinely glad you stopped in. Browse the inventory, read a buying guide, see how Up Front Research works, or just text us and tell us what you’re after. However you like to shop, we think you’ll feel the difference — and we’d love to earn your business the honest way.

Where Empire Cycle comes from
The Empire Cycle name traces back to June 1953, when Dave and Dolores Hardin bought a Spokane shop called Empire Cycle from Stan Wagner and set out to build something bigger. As Dolores liked to say, Dave was the mechanical brain and she was the financial brain — and together they grew Empire Cycle Company into the largest Triumph motorcycle dealership in the Northwest, with a Yamaha line that reached thirteen sub-dealers across the region.

Empire Cycle was a racing shop as much as a storefront. Dave Hardin was a fantastic hillclimber himself, and the Triumphs that left his shop were ridden hard all over the Inland Empire. In 1965, three Empire Cycle riders finished inside the top ten of the Inland Empire Sports Riders Association standings — Norm Kopp took the series championship, Dave’s son Chuck Hardin finished fifth, and Norm’s brother Bob rounded out the top ten — collecting cross-country and hillclimb wins from Omak and Spokane to Orofino, Kellogg and Kiona.

The Hardins ran Empire Cycle through 1969. The name came back in 2008, when Bob and Debbie Ellis revived it, and in 2014 we took the wheel. We’re proud to carry it forward — the racing looks a little different now, but the spirit is the same: local riders, honest machines, and a shop that’s part of the community.
