Empire Cycle & Powersports (“Empire,” “we,” “us”) operates empire-cycle.com. We run our website the same way we run our showroom: straightforward, with no surprises. Information you give us
When you fill out a form on this site — a vehicle inquiry, contact request, test-ride request, trade-in valuation, service or parts request, callback request, or financing inquiry — we receive what you enter, which typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and your message or the details of your vehicle or trade-in. If you call or text us, we receive your phone number and the content of your messages.
The Empire AI assistant (“Ask Empire”)
Our website chat assistant answers questions using inventory data and official owner’s manuals. Your chat messages are processed by a third-party artificial-intelligence service provider (Anthropic) to generate responses, and we may store and review conversations to improve the assistant and to follow up when you ask us to contact you. Please don’t type sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or financial account numbers) into the chat — it isn’t needed for anything the assistant does. If you use the chat’s contact options, the details you provide are handled like any other inquiry under this policy.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how the site is used. This includes pages visited, the type of device and browser, general (city-level) location, how you found us — including whether you arrived from a search engine, an ad, or an AI assistant such as ChatGPT — and, if you clicked one of our ads, an advertising click identifier. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement for this. We deliberately configure our analytics to avoid collecting personally identifying information such as your name, email, or phone number.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage items: analytics and advertising-measurement cookies set by Google; and functional browser storage used for things like remembering that you dismissed a notice, keeping units in your comparison tray, and holding your payment-estimate settings. Blocking cookies in your browser will not prevent you from browsing our inventory.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and do what you asked us to do (answer a question, schedule service, appraise a trade, hold a unit, arrange financing);
- To complete sales, registration, titling, and warranty paperwork when you buy from us;
- To measure which of our advertising actually works, including matching ad clicks to store sales in aggregate;
- To improve the website, the AI assistant, and our inventory information;
- To send you messages you’ve asked for. We do not send marketing text messages without your consent.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you text us or ask us to text you, standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us, or HELP for help. Phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in information are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing purposes.
What we share — and what we don’t
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — website hosting, analytics (Google), our AI service provider (Anthropic), and our dealership management systems — who may use it only to provide services to us;
- Financial institutions, only when you ask us to arrange financing, so they can process your request;
- Manufacturers (such as Triumph, CFMOTO, Husqvarna, Arctic Cat, or RAWRR), when needed to register your warranty, process a recall, or fulfill a manufacturer program on a vehicle you buy;
- Authorities, when the law genuinely requires it.
Our public inventory information (vehicles, specifications, prices — never your personal information) is published in machine-readable form and may be used by search engines, marketplaces, and AI assistants.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and chat records as long as they’re useful for serving you and improving the business, and we keep purchase and finance records as long as law and manufacturer requirements demand. If you’d like something deleted sooner, ask us.
Your choices
- You can browse the entire site without submitting any personal information.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser opt-out tool, and manage ad personalization in your Google settings.
- You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (we’ll honor deletion requests except where the law requires us to keep records, such as completed sales). Call (509) 892-6368 or contact us through the site.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We sell youth-sized vehicles, but we market them to parents, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website can promise perfect security, so we also keep the amount of personal information we collect to the minimum the job requires.
Links to other sites
Our site links to sites we don’t control — manufacturer websites, Google reviews, and our separate online parts store at powersportsempire.com, which has its own policies. This policy covers empire-cycle.com only.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here with a new effective date. We won’t quietly start doing something materially different with your information without saying so.
